There haven't been many places opening up in Cairo worth mentioning, until i've been to Kazoku. From the moment you walk into the place you're welcomed by extremely friendly staff who give you all their attention to have you seated in the quickest and most professional manner. The decoration of the place is outstanding, and is comparable only to those top notch places of London, New York, and Dubai. Its surrounded by glass, and we were quite lucky to be on a table overlooking the outdoor area, where the pool was lit, and we could see the coming outdoor area, probably to be opened in spring.
The bar looks quite proper with a few foreign bartenders mixing up the cocktails which i heard were impeccable. We didn't get a chance to order any of the cocktail and just had our wine, which i was quite glad that they offered to decant as its quite rare to find this in Cairo.
The food i would have to say is the best Japanese in Cairo, but knowing that we don't have many options in town it wouldn't mean alot to any reader. Reality is the food is delicious only to compete with again topnotch restaurants as Zuma and Nobu. I actually think some of the dishes we ordered beat those of London, and New York. Sushi is just incredible, and the codfish was impressive. I've never seen codfish in Egypt, so if you're in the mood for it that's the place to be. The service was precise, and quick with very friendly waiters, and i understood the Restaurant Manager is a Hoteliere hence the excellent staff training.
The place is expensive, but in terms of value for money i'd say you won't get any better in Egypt.
Really impressed with the quality of the salad and the wraps. Very fresh good. Delivery was excellent, they arrived in around half an hour. What was impressive is how the guy on the phone knew all ingredients and helped me in building my own salad, really excellent training of the staff.
Worst delivery service especially in Ramadan they are never on time and always late if ur ordering fetar. There are several restaurants on the boat, and Carlos is quite famous for its rude waiters. The food on the other hand is good in general and they can do much better if they train their staff
Worst delivery service in Cairo, ive been waiting for 2 hours and all i get are excuses from an incompetent idiot. Its a shame that a place that has the best cupcakes in town would have such bad delivery service. Really you should just go get them, and if you're too lazy then order from somewhere else
One of the best spots for breakfast in Gouna, highly recommend anyone to go but try to avoid during national holidays as they are extremely full and service gets slow; but this is for all Gouna
Best Ramadan Sohour by far. Nothing compares to it. Definitely best value for money, simple and extremely delicious. Highly recommend the Lo2met El Borio dessert, its incredible.
Never have i been so impressed with a restaurant in Egypt as i was with this place. I've been to the place before for a coffee and shisha but heard the food was good so thought i'd give it a try. I have to say the service was fantastic, waiters are really friendly, and do whatever they can to please the customer. Food was delicious, reminds me of the good food in El Gouna, if not better.
Stayed there recently, the check-in was slow, extremely slow actually and i was asked to wait for 30 minutes till the rooms was prepared although i was there after 3pm. Secondly when i refused to wait, they gave me a room instantly, so why give me a hard time when they have a room. Then the room itself is really run down, looks quite old, and doesn't feel clean. The corridor to the room actually smelt terrible, and it was simply BO of the housekeeping guy which shouldn't be the case at a 5 star hotel.
Room service was fast, food was ok, the guy was really efficient, but it was ridiculously expensive and more expensive than the Four Seasons which is a benchmark more or less.
Recommendation is try to find another option rather than staying there.
