Anyone over 30 surely have memories for the 27 years old Italian La Casetta, going back didn't feel like a bad idea, La Casetta Heliopolis was more than over-crowded, 15 waiting & only 4 waiting chairs, the welcome was friendly but not helpful, the waiter even suggested that we would wait in our cars, La Casetta Heliopolis definitely needs redecoration, new furniture & all new bathrooms, the very small hand washing area is shared between the very small males and females bathrooms which wasn’t very comfortable, tables setting was too crowded, the dim light was too low that we couldn’t read our menus, the music speakers kept making scratchy noises instead of playing music.
Service was too fast, before we even touched our soup & garlic bread we had our main dish (which we didn’t appreciate), fries was awful, probably reheated 0/10, soup was not special & not hot enough 5/10, garlic bread was tasteless 3/10.
Emance a la cream was well done as requested but not the best in town 7/10, seafood pizza was as special as always it’s kind of greasy but totally different from any other pizza, definitely worth a try 8/10 unfortunately our water never showed up, minutes later the AC started leaking on us, but at least the bill was very fast.
Over all experience was not good, but still I’m rating this restaurant as good cause I had better experience in different branches, still very sad for Merghany branch, it needs a total make over and it is not recommended during crowded weekends.
