As a foreigner living in Egypt, i think its really weird having a Hyatt hotel with no drinks. But this isn't my main problem with the hotel, as i'm not an alcoholic. The thing i really don't like is the access to the hotel. When there's a big wedding or something, its really impossible to reach the hotel, or even park.

I really respect them for not serving alcohol! & for those who go to hotels to get drunk u can always choose other places & leave us that place... chapeau arabs:)))

Saudi Arabia's outpost on the banks of the Nile. The hotel as a building is ok, the food isn't wow but its not bad actually and they have a nice revolving restaurant with a nice view of Cairo. The only issue is that its made for Arabs and owned by Arabs. They even abolished alcohol in all hotel outlets with the exception of room service and the bar on the last floor. All Food and Beverage outlets are dry which is quite annoying actually. I don't really like to drink but i mean what if i want too. How come a 5 star hotel in Cairo doesn't serve a beer? Its really weird, and whats even worse is the double standard as they serve in "some parts of the hotel"

unless you really have to go, don't bother.
Actually to add, the rooms are good but the only problem is that the walls are quite thin, so if you have a bunch of kids in the room next to you, i highly recommend you move out!!!
